Blood glucose testing

Determination of blood glucose level using a glucometer and a test strip. Usually combined with an assessment of the patient's condition but can also be performed as an individual test. If the glucose level is critically low, the patient is given 40% glucose intravenously, but if the level is critically high, an intravenous catheter is inserted, an intravenous infusion with S.NaCl 0.9% 500 ml is initiated and the NMPD is called. Expenses for the medicinal products if they must be used according to vital indications, are covered by the patient.
